Museums

The National Museum, Tamminiemi and Häme Castle are temporarily closed to Feb 28th.

Of the sites of the National Museum of Finland, the Olavinlinna Castle and the Maritime Museum of Finland in Kotka remain open, but the regional development of the COVID-19 situation will be monitored. At the Maritime Museum of Finland, the number of museum guests is limited to maximum 10 persons. The other sites of the National Museum of Finland are open in summer only even under normal circumstances.

Due to the National Museum, Tamminiemi and Häme Castle being closed, the various guided tours and facility reservations are also cancelled. All programmed events have already been cancelled at an earlier date. The National Museum of Finland will contact those with reservations for re-arranging. The dates of agreed visits to the Finnish Heritage Agency’s Collections and Conservation Centre in Vantaa will likewise be pushed back.

During the lockdown, the customer service of the National Museum of Finland is normally accessible by e-mail and by telephone.

The National Museum of Finland will comply with recommendations and guidelines issued by authorities.
