Blanket woven as dowry

According to the seller, this blanket was brought to Ala-Kuivanen in Eräjärvi as the dowry of the previous owner’s great-grandmother instead of a ryijy rug, because a ryijy rug could not be acquired due to lack of funds. The blanket was woven in 1830. Unfortunately, the pattern wefts have been worn out.
