Spoils of war from Lahti

In 1919, the central department for spoils of war donated to the collections this palmette-patterned blanket from Lahti. Tyyni Vahter thinks that the blanket was made by Susanna Sarin, a tailor’s wife who had woven a nearly similar blanket in 1867 for the old lady of the Maula farm in Miehola. The blanket has a marking: 1866 MA.WI.
