Birch bark salt container from Komi
This birch bark salt container was taken on trips and to the forest sauna. Its lid has a sealable pouring hole and the owner’s mark. There is also a cross-shaped mark on the side of the container. It was collected by ethnologist U. T. Sirelius (1872–1929) on the Lokchim River in Mordinskoye in the present-day region of the Komi Republic in 1907.
