Midsummer at the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum

Daily Guided Tours

Between 18th and 24th of June the daily guided tours focus on Midsummer and the traditions connected to celebrating the holiday. Tours are organised every day. German tours are at noon, Finnish and Swedish at 1 pm, English tours at 3pm. Guided tours include to the entrance ticket price.

22nd of June

On Friday the 22nd Seurasaari Open-Air Museum is closed. In the evening there is a Midsummer celebration on the island from 4 pm to 1 am. In connection with the celebration the Antti farmstead, the churh of Karuna and the museum shop will be open from 6 pm to 9 pm. The celebration is organised by Seurasaarisäätiö. 23rd and 24th of June

On Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th the museum is open from 11 am to 5 pm. The museum organises a workshop where visitors can make rings out of birch bark.

On saturdayb there is a Midsummer’s service held in the Karuna Church at 1 pm (in Finnish) and a dance at the Antti square from 2 pm to 4 pm. Entry for the service and the dance is free.
