
Opening hours and tickets
Please read current instructions for a safe museum visit.
You can purchase tickets online from our webshop or from the museum. Tickets are available from the online store at a lower price than on the spot. Museum Card holders and others entitled to free entry may reserve their entry slot in advance. Entry to the National Museum of Finland is free on Fridays at 16:00–18:00.

The National Museum will be closed from 16.10.2023 due to renovation and new construction for 2–3 years. Our last day of opening is Sunday 15 October 2023.

*Reduced entry fee applies students, pensioners, senior citizens, and persons over 65 years, unemployed, conscripts, persons undergoing non-military service and groups more than 10 persons.
Always free: kindergarten and school groups, integration and rehabilitation groups, full-time study groups and accompanying teachers and guiding adults, personal assistants, veterans, professional guides, teachers planning lessons, press card and ICOM-card holders. Visitors arriving as a group must register in advance: skm.opastusvaraukset@kansallismuseo.fi.
