Online Shop agreement and delivery terms and conditions
The agreement and delivery terms and conditions for the online shop (hereinafter ‘Online Shop’) of the National Museum of Finland’s (hereinafter ‘NMF’) site titled the National Museum, which operates under the Finnish Heritage Agency, are applied to all transactions performed by the customer (hereinafter ‘Customer’), regardless of the device the Customer uses to access the service.
The Customer may only use the Online Shop in accordance with the effective terms and conditions and the applicable legislation.
The terms of agreement form the agreement between the Customer and NMF and determine the rights and responsibilities of the Customer and NMF with regard to the Online Shop.
By making purchases from the Online Shop, the Customer confirms that they have familiarised themselves with the effective terms of agreement and delivery and undertake to observe them.
Purchasing and validity of an advance ticket
Advance tickets to the exhibitions of the museum
Advance tickets are only available for purchase at www.kansallismuseo.fi. At present, the National Museum does not sell advance admission tickets to the museum through any other service.
You can purchase an advance admission ticket to exhibitions for the day and time of your choice within the limitations of the museum’s opening hours and the ticket reservation situation. The validity of an advance ticket cannot be changed after purchase.
A single Customer may purchase no more than nine (9) advance tickets at a time, regardless of the ticket type.
Please note that, on location at the museum, Customers can only purchase exhibition admission tickets for that day.
Ticket verification
Advance admission tickets to exhibitions
Upon arrival, the Customer must exchange the advance ticket for a sticker entitling them to admission during the day of the visit. The ticket can be exchanged at the ticket sales desk of the museum.
The ticket can be presented in the form of a printout or on the display of a smart device. Tickets cannot be claimed simply by providing a name.
The right to a discounted ticket must be proven upon exchanging the advance ticket for an admission sticker.
Rights
Advance admission tickets to exhibitions
An advance ticket grants one person admission on the selected day and at the selected time.
If the Customer is unable to use their ticket for reasons attributable to NMF, the ticket(s) will be refunded to the Customer or transferred to another day.
All advance tickets are non-transferable. The rights provided by the advance ticket are exclusive to the ticket holder.
Paying for a ticket
Advance tickets are paid for through the Online Shop. The payment service provider is the Suomi.fi-maksut service. Our online shop accepts the most common credit cards (e.g. Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard, AMEX), online banking service and mobile payments via Siirto and MobilePay.
Registration
Purchasing a ticket does not require registration.
Ticket delivery
Tickets purchased from the Online Shop are delivered to the Customer’s e-mail address in PDF format after payment. Tickets will not be delivered by post. If there appears to be a delay in the arrival of a ticket, the Customer should check the spam folder of their e-mail.
Terms of replacement and return
Advance admission tickets to exhibitions
As a general rule, purchased tickets will not be refunded and they cannot be exchanged or returned.
As an exception to the aforementioned is a situation where the ticket holder is unable to enter the museum at the time indicated on the ticket even though they have arrived at the museum at least 60 minutes before the end of the admission slot indicated on the ticket. In this case, NMF will refund the ticket(s) or provide ticket(s) for another day.
In the event of issues
In the event of problems, the Customer should contact the customer service department by calling +358 (0)50 4624 120 or sending an e-mail message to tickets@kansallismuseo.fi. The customer service department is available during the opening hours of the National Museum of Finland Tue–Fri 10 a.m.–12 noon.
Third parties in the Online Shop
The website of the National Museum of Finland includes a link to an Online Shop, which is owned and maintained by a third party. NFM cannot be held liable for the functionalities, content or other features of sites produced by third parties. The third-party site may have its own terms of use and customer register, and NMF cannot influence the content of a site released by another creator or publisher.
Intellectual property rights
The entire content of the Online Shop, such as images, logos, product information and texts, are protected under copyrights or other intangible rights held by NMF and/or the third-party shop provider. All intellectual property rights to the Online Shop content belong to NMF and/or the third party.
Others terms
NMF does not guarantee the uninterrupted or flawless operation of the Online Shop and is not responsible for its availability. NMF reserves the right to temporarily suspend access to the service or a part thereof due to updates to the Online Shop, for example. Unless otherwise required by mandatory legislation, NMF cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the usage or unavailability of the Online Shop or any related reason.
NMF reserves the right to change the Online Shop’s terms of agreement and delivery without advance notice. The services offered through the Online Shop, as well as the appearance, content, availability and features of the shop may also change.
All terms of the service are governed by Finnish law.
