Approximately 15-minute walk away from Hämeenlinna railway station, and an approximately 10-minute walk from the bus station in the centre of Hämeenlinna.

Parking for passenger cars and buses There is a free of charge parking permit area near the castle by Kustaa III:n katu, as well as free parking spaces along the road. There is another free of charge parking permit area along Tampereentie for both passenger cars and buses.

2.5.-31.5.: Mon–Fri 10:00–16:00, Sat-Sun 11:00-16:00

1.6.-31.8.: Mon–Sun 10:00–17:00

1.9.-30.9.: Tue–Fri 10:00–16:00, Sat-Sun 11:00-16:00

During 1.6.-31.8. ticket sale and museum shop close at 16.30.
