Akseli Gallen-Kallela is known as Finland’s national artist and the painter of the National Museum of Finland’s frescoes. However, the artist’s works are more diverse than this. The guided tour sheds light on the artist’s varied career and life at a time when the nation of Finland was being built. The exhibition Akseli Gallen-Kallela is open at the National Museum of Finland from 2 December 2022 to 2 April 2023.
