In Seurasaari, Midsummer lasts the whole week!

Daily guided tours During the Midsummer week from 17 to 23 June, the daily guided tours included in the ticket to the Open-Air Museum tell visitors how Midsummer was celebrated in the old days. Tours start daily at 12 noon in German, 1 pm in Finnish and Swedish, and 3 pm in English.

Midsummer’s Eve, 21 June 
Seurasaari Open-Air Museum is closed on Midsummer’s Eve, 21 June. The Seurasaari Foundation organises the Midsummer Bonfires event on 21 June, Midsummer’s Eve, from 4 pm to 1 am. In connection with the event, the Antti Farmstead, Karuna Church, Iisalmi parsonage and the museum shop are open from 6 pm to 9 pm. The event is not included in the museum ticket; you need to purchase a separate event ticket. You can find more information about the event and tickets from the Midsummer Bonfires website.

Midsummer weekend 22–23 June 
During the Midsummer weekend, the museum is open during its normal opening hours from 11 am to 5 pm. On Midsummer’s Day, 22 June, a church service will be held at Karuna Church at 1 pm. Entry to the church service is free.
