FrescoDisco

The National Museum’s new Pop up FrescoDisco fills the center hall every other Wednesday for the entirety of the Akseli Gallen-Kallela exhibition. Experience Gallen-Kallela’s iconic Kalevala frescos to the hits of the early 1900s. During their winter break, kids can also get their disco on! The first FrescoDisco will be held on the 7th of December.

Akseli Gallen-Kallela, a cosmopolitan, spent plenty of time abroad, exploring the many cultures of the world. Inspired by his journeys, our DJs will be playing hit songs from early 1900s Paris, London, Berlin, and New York. You can also expect to hear the charming melodies from Gallen-Kallela’s Finland, as well as from the artist’s trips to Kenya.
