Visit Häme Castle

How to get there? Please note! Access to Häme Castle will change due to the renovation of Linnanpuisto park from August 4th 2025 onwards.

  • The renovation will affect both pedestrians and drivers.
  • The castle’s parking spaces will be unavailable.
  • Access to the castle will only be possible on foot via the southern stone bridge (along Kustaa III Street) or via the northern wooden bridge.
  • Please remember to check the detailed arrival instructions here before your visit.

Häme Castle aims to provide a physically and mentally safe place for our museum guests and staff during both regular and unprecedented times.


Tickets and opening times

We recommend card payments. We do, however, accept cash in our museum shops and restaurants, and at ticket counters.

Daily guided tours will be organised at Häme Castle.

Museum shops and restaurants

The museum shop is open whenever the castle is open. The castle’s summer cafe is open only during summer season.


Meetings, celebrations and other events

The facilities of Häme Castle and the museum restaurant, Hämeen linna, may be used to hold meetings, celebrations and other private occasions.
