Accessibility

Ticket sales
The museum’s ticket desk is located in the museum lobby at street level. Tel. +358 (0)295 33 6951. After entering the building, there are three steps up and two down. A visitor using a wheelchair will need two people to help them lift the chair.

Wheelchairs
The museum has a lot of stairs, and the building does not have a lift. Moving around in a wheelchair is therefore difficult. Some of the rooms at street level can be visited by people with reduced mobility, but two strong assistants are needed. If you are planning a visit to the museum, you should call us so that we can provide you with more information (tel. +358 (0)295 33 6951).

Guide dogs
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.

Cloakroom
The cloakroom is free and located next to the museum’s main entrance. Guided tours Guided tours can also be adapted to suit special groups. For more information, please call: +358 (0)295 33 6951.

Café and restaurant
Year 2023 there is a garden café in Hvitträsk that is accessible with wheelchair.

The café and restaurant are under renovation. The café is at street level, but entrance requires descending one high stone step and therefore the building is not completely accessible. The restaurant is located on the first floor (year 2023 closed). The building has no lift, which makes it unsuitable for people with reduced mobility.

Museum shop
The museum shop is by the ticket sales desk at street level. After entering the building, there are three steps up and two down. A visitor using a wheelchair will need two people to help them lift the chair.

WC
The public toilets are located on the ground floor near the ticket desk.
