Seurasaari Open-Air Museum

  • Welcome to the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum! From the beginning of June until the end of August, the museum will be open daily 11 am - 5 pm.
  • Y, a wooden installation created by an international team of architects and fine carpenters, is now open in Niemelä tenant farm. Entry with a museum ticket.
  • Daily guided tours begin on June 15th and continue until August 15th. In German 12 pm, in Finnish and Swedish 13 pm, in English 15 pm.
  • Adventure in Miniature Finland for children until August 13th every day! A cultural orienteering for the whole family takes you around the museum area to accomplish small tasks. Entry with a museum ticket.
The Open-Air Museum of Seurasaari is located on a beautiful green island just a few kilometres from the heart of Helsinki. The island is a tranquil oasis in the midst of the city and at the museum the traditional Finnish way of life is displayed in the cottages, farmsteads and manors of the past four centuries that have been relocated from all around Finland.
